4G Network Coverage for GPS

Ensure device compatibility for 3G & 4G network coverage

Two of Australia’s leading telco companies, Telstra and Optus, have made the decision to effectively shut down their long running 2G mobile networks.

This will mean that some devices that still operate on the 2G network will require maintenance to remain functional. Essentially, the SIM or modem that sits within your device needs to be upgraded to reflect the network upgrades.

Once the SIM or modem has been replaced, the GPS tracking device will continue to function as per normal, with the upgrade adding increased data transmission speed over either the 3G or 4G networks.

MyFleet's latest Advanced Black Box and Basic Black Box are not effected.

If you are concerned that your current black boxes from another supplier is still using the older 2G network please contact MyFleet. Our team will assist you in ensuring the network shutdown in December 2016 does not effect your operations.
